How this shed size calculator works
Enter whole-object dimensions and quantities, then replace the sample usable interior and clear opening. The tool checks rectangles, collisions, opening dimensions and selected retrieval paths. It compares the same inventory in each candidate; it does not use floor area alone to promise a fit.
The following worked example is independent of your saved project. All reference measurements are editable assumptions, not manufacturer specifications. Turning, structural loading, wall mounting and permits remain outside the calculation.

This example deliberately changes the clear opening to 48 in while keeping the mower 54 in wide. With a chosen 2 in allowance on each side, the requested opening is 58 in. A larger floor does not widen that same door.
