Inspect these four decisions

Ground access: Observe the birds at each threshold, in both directions. Record surface, obstruction and opening dimensions; an existing raised floor needs separate review.
Wet and dry: Identify where indoor drinking water is serviced, where spilled water goes and where dry bedding is stored. Walk the wet-container route.
Indoor and outdoor: Review the outdoor connection, weather protection and predator risks. A doorway on a drawing does not establish a secure enclosure.
Cleaning: Try the actual bedding-removal tools and route. Keep the dry rest usable while arranging maintenance; do not infer flock capacity from this sketch.

Before converting an existing shed

Record its actual floor, walls, roof, openings, location and moisture condition. Identify previous chemical or fuel storage and materials that need specialist review. Establish suitable space for the specific animals and access for daily care before selecting a footprint.

If a required opening, dry zone or cleaning route cannot be provided, compare a different building arrangement. This concept does not establish that an existing shed can be converted, or that local animal-keeping and building requirements are satisfied.
